It's the 50th Episode!

50: It’s The 50th Episode!

In today’s episode, Patricia is excited to celebrate her 50th episode. She reflects on her experience having a podcast and how it has made her feel about herself. To make this episode special, Patricia references her children’s book, I Love Myself. She feels like it is a valuable tool when looking to boost one’s self-esteem. It is not only a tool for children, but for adults too. Ultimately, she wants her listeners to feel more confident in their abilities and validate themselves when others do not.

Patricia outlines, from her book, the 4 ways to raise a child’s self-esteem, as they pertain to adults too. When looking through her book, she suggests setting goals and giving praise when accomplished, catching yourself doing something right and being proud, to never compare yourselves to others, and ask yourself your highlight or reflect on your day’s accomplishments. She felt like these were the best tips to start loving and valuing your contribution.

48: It’s That Magical Day… 2/2/22

In today’s episode, Patricia urges her listeners to treat themselves, look for signs, and have fun on the magical day of 2/2/22. For special occasion, she investigated how some people have lived to 100. These individuals are called centenarians and they all have commonalities that have led to their long and healthy lives. She summarizes these lifestyle choices and urges her listeners to consider some of these lifestyle changes to live a more purposeful and healthier life.

She references the book, The Blue Zone by Dan Buettner which summarize the commonalities of centenarians. Patricia outlines the four most achievable commonalities for her listeners: having a close family, being active, eating plant-based, and doing something worthwhile, purposeful, and contributing to a bigger cause. These commonalities could help one prolong their life while being healthier and more mindful. Patricia wanted to share a special topic for 2/2/22. Ultimately, helping her listeners realize that they have the potential to live purposeful, prosperous, and healthy lives with the skills and talents they already have.

Is it Imposter Syndrome or Just Fake It Until You Make It?

47: Is it Imposter Syndrome or Is it Fake It Until You Make It

In today’s episode, Patricia goes over the difference between imposter syndrome and faking it till you make it. Patricia understands the phrase imposter syndrome and believes it is the most overused term in business. Although she personally does not resonate with imposter syndrome, she feels like she has insight into how her clients and others perceive the topic.

Patricia explores the definition, along with her own dissection of the term. She categorizes the 3 most common statements amongst her clients regarding imposter syndrome and navigates through the most common thoughts regarding the topic. Patricia validates these thoughts yet debunks their legitimacy. She then gives examples of how one could truly be an imposter, yet are writing it off as faking it till they make it. In the end, Patricia wants people to focus on themselves and their skills, rather than what others may think of them.
