Is Hypnotherapy the Thing That is Going to Work For You?

Ep 59: Is Hypnotherapy the Thing That is Going to Work For You?

In this episode, Patricia interviews Alena Gourley for the third episode of her Mystical Month Series. Alena is a hypnotherapist that assists her clients in processing traumas, griefs, and losses through their subconscious. Many are unaware of how their subconscious affects their obstructive behavior. She has seen massive improvements in such short amount of time in her clients. She is able to help them move through difficult emotions and lead them to the root of their issues.

She has always noticed, from a young age, that she has felt others’ emotions. In the second grade, she sensed she could feel stress and anxiety from everyone around her. The stress of the teachers and the anxiousness of the students. She was influenced by the energies around them. She feels like these experiences have guided her to help others.

She summarizes that her passion has always been to help people. She spent most of her life developing skills to share this healing. Ultimately, she wanted to find a way to combine love with mental health and wellness. However, she found it difficult to charge people for this service. In the end, she concluded that her clients must see it as an investment in themselves or a gift to themselves. This is how she feels comfortable charging for her work. She emphasizes that this also improves her practice as she is committed to providing deep, healing, spiritual work to those who invest in themselves.

Patricia then summarizes the episode with 8 golden nuggets she gathered from Alena.

1.     Your subconscious dictates your thoughts, feelings, and emotions.

(It can be accessed through hypnotherapy or meditation.)

2.     Harness your gifts.

3.     Where do you store your pain? Hypnotherapy can help release this pain.

4.     You can combine your gifts and skills to feed your passion.

5.     Release your money beliefs to grow as entrepreneur.

6.     You are perfect just the way you are.

7.     The problem always comes back to loving and accepting yourself.

8.     You must discover what lights you up.

It's Up to You to Design Your Lifestyle

56: Reboot: It’s Up to You to Design Your Lifestyle

In this episode, I'm going to introduce you to Terry and Maureen McGrath. They've really designed a lifestyle that suits them and brings them joy and profit. I can't wait for you to learn more!

Maureen & Terry McGrath have been together for a little over thirty years.  They both enjoy and continue to be very successful in their professional careers; Maureen in the hospitality industry designing and executing many large-scale corporate and celebrity private events, and Terry designing software systems used by many of the top financial services organizations in the world.  As a couple, they enjoy many passions together but second, only to their passion for their family, is their common passion to design, renovate, and sell their homes.

What initially started as a mutual common interest in investing time, money, and energy into their homes for themselves, family, and guests rapidly became a passion for profit by acquiring these homes and turning around and selling them or re-renting them.  A total of thirteen properties to date over their 30 years together.  And each property they have moved into and lived in during the renovation.  Each approaches this passion in the same fashion as their primary careers, Maureen looking at the home as an “event” for her to curate, and Terry as a piece of software that must be designed and put into production.

Some of the properties have been more profitable than others, but over time they stopped saying to each other “this is the home we are going to live in for the rest of our lives”.  Instead, they pursue them following the wisdom and advice of a brilliant man gave Maureen gave while she was working at the House of Blues, Sunset Strip…. “you are just passing through, at the very best leave it better than you found it”. A credo in all aspects of their personal and professional lives they try to live by.

Best Exercise I Have Seen in a Long Time

53: The Best Exercise I’ve Seen In a Long Time

In today’s episode, Patricia summarizes an exercise that could help make this world a better place. She goes over the problems of judging others based on their opposing thoughts and how we could change the world, for the better, if we thought of people in a better light. Patricia urges her listeners to try and think of others they judge differently. She asks the question, if we cannot think of others differently, how can we possibly change the world?

Patricia urges those who find it hard to challenge their beliefs to get to know themselves. To get to the core of who they are and analyze why they feel this way. She believes it can lead them to what their true desires are.
